abstract = {The present paper which is the first of its kind investigtes Oliver Leaman's view of Islamic political philosophy. Leaman's main concern is to criticize the existing interpretations of and approaches to the study of Islamic political philosophy. He believes that Islamic political philosophy is influenced by neo-platonic and neo- Aristotelian school. Accordingly, he accepts the idea of applying the term "Islamic" to this kind of philosophy in the civilizational meaning, not in the content meaning. However, his view of criticism and affirmation is unsound. Regarding criticism, he does not have an accurate perception of the existing interpretations and approaches. With regard to affirmation, he does not have a proper understanding of the relationship between revelation and intellect or religion and philosophy.},

abstract_fa ={این مقاله نخستین نوشتاری است که به بررسی نظریه‌ی الیور لیمن درباره‌ی فلسفه‌ی سیاسی اسلامی می پردازد. دغدغه‌ی اصلی لیمن، نقد تفاسیر و رهیافت های موجود درباره‌ی مطالعه فلسفه‌ی سیاسی اسلامی است. وی فلسفه‌ی سیاسی اسلامی را متأثر از مکتب نوافلاطونی و نوارسطویی می داند. بر این اساس، صفت «اسلامی» در این فلسفه را نه به معنای محتوایی، بلکه به معنای تمدنی می پذیرد. اما نظریه‌ی لیمن در هر دو وجه انتقادی و ایجابی ناموفق است. وی در وجه انتقادی، برداشت درستی از تفاسیر و رهیافت های موجود ندارد و در وجه ایجابی نیز به فهم مناسبی از رابطه‌ی میان وحی و عقل یا دین و فلسفه دست نیافته است.},
