abstract = {In recent centuries, the West has created new ideas in the world of politics. Secularism, democracy, nationalism, socialism, fascism, and liberalism are among these ideas. This study seeks to critically analyze these ideas from the perspective of Iqbal Lahori, one of the educated in the West who was familiar with the culture of the West. Considering the fact that the progress and domination of the West over other nations has increased the value of the new civilization  and especially the sanctity of modern political thought in the minds of many people, this study can be regarded as an important step in understanding Western political thought as a rival to Islamic thought, as well as a critique of idolization and Westernization. Using descriptive-analytical method and library sources, this research shows that Iqbal accepted some of these political beliefs, liked some of its merits and benefited from them, and at times was even  fanatical about some of them. However, he was generally opposed to them and considered them an obstacle and enemy for human’s political prosperity and life.},

abstract_fa ={غرب در سده های اخیر اندیشه های نوینی را در عالم سیاست پدید آورده است. سکولاریسم، دموکراسی، ناسیونالیسم، سوسیالیسم، فاشیسم و لیبرالیسم از جمله‌ی این اندیشه هاست. تحقیق پیش رو کوشیده است این اندیشه ها را از نگاه اقبال لاهوری ـ یکی از تحصیل کردگان در غرب و آشنا با فرهنگ مغرب زمین ـ مورد تحلیلِ انتقادی قرار دهد. با توجه به اینکه پیشرفت و چیرگی غرب بر دیگر ملت ها سبب ارزشمندی تمدن جدید و به ویژه قداست تفکر سیاسی مدرن در اذهان بسیاری شده است، این بررسی می تواند گامی مهم در فهم اندیشه‌ی سیاسی غرب به عنوان رقیب اندیشه‌ی اسلامی و نیز نقد بت شدگی و غرب پرستی به شمار آید. این پژوهش که به صورت توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با ابزار کتابخانه ای صورت بندی شده است، مشخص نمود که اقبال، اگرچه به برخی از این باورهای سیاسی روی خوش نشان داده و بعضی از محاسن آن را پسندیده و از آن سود برده است و حتی در پاره ای از زمان ها نسبت به برخی از آن ها متعصب بوده، اما با کلیت آنها مخالف است و آنها را مانع و دشمن سعادت و حیات سیاسی بشر می داند.},
