abstract = {Secularism" can be considered one of the most important factors of the decline and backwardness of Muslims. This research aims to investigate and analyze the view of Imam Khomeini in this field based on the theoretical framework of Thomas Spriggans. Using descriptive-analytical research method as well as "content analysis" as well as desk-research and referring to the writings and statements of his holiness, this article has been organized. The findings show that Imam Khomeini's view has many references to this topic based on the mentioned theoretical framework. He had observed the existence of degeneration and backwardness among Muslims and considered "secularism" as one of its factors. From his point of view, two components are necessary to solve this problem: the formation of the government; Creating correlation between religion and politics. He also considers the most desirable society to be a monotheistic society. From his point of view, the monotheistic society is considered to be the most sublime human society in which one can achieve progress and escape from degeneration},

abstract_fa ={«سکولاریسم» را می توان یکی از مهم ترین عوامل انحطاط و عقب ماندگی مسلمانان به شمار آورد. هدف این تحقیق آن است که دیدگاه امام خمینی(ره) را در این زمینه براساس چارچوب نظری توماس اسپریگنز بررسی و تحلیل کند. روش پژوهش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و نیز «تحلیل محتوا» است که براساس مطالعات کتابخانه ای و مراجعه به مکتوبات و بیانات معظمٌ له تنظیم شده است. یافته های تحقیق نشان می دهد دیدگاه امام خمینی(ره) براساس چارچوب نظری ذکرشده، اشاره های فراوانی به این مبحث دارد. ایشان وجود انحطاط و عقب ماندگی را در بین مسلمانان مشاهده کرده بود و یکی از عوامل آن را «سکولاریسم» می دانست. راه درمان این معضل از دیدگاه ایشان رسیدن به دو مؤلفه است: تشکیل حکومت؛ ایجاد همبستگی بین دین و سیاست. ایشان همچنین مطلوب ترین جامعه را «جامعه توحیدی» می داند. از دیدگاه ایشان، جامعه توحیدی متعالی ترین جامعه بشری به  شمار می رود که در این جامعه می توان به ترقی و پیشرفت و خروج از انحطاط دست یافت.},
