Nevertheless, numerous perspectives exist on the nature of elections, each of which can lead to the establishment of a different electoral system. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the nature and consequences of elections from the perspective of Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi, as a prominent political thinker in the Islamic world following the Islamic Revolution of Iran and one of the theoreticians of religious democracy. This analysis contributes to a more precise explanation of the nature of the Islamic Republic and religious democracy. Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi, with his “testimony” (shahādah) view of the nature of elections, adopts a distinctive approach to this subject, which entails far-reaching consequences for concepts such as political legitimacy, the qualifications of candidates and voters, the scope of elections, the framework for electoral oversight, and other related components. This perspective differs fundamentally from other prevalent theories in this field and can inspire the design of a new electoral system. This research employs an analytical-descriptive method using library sources. امروزه انتخابات به‌مثابة اصلی‌ترین روش مشارکت سیاسی در نظام‌های مردمی شناخته می‌شود و جایگاهی محوری در دموکراسی‌های نمایندگی دارد؛ به‌گونه‌ای‌که فهم این مفهوم بدون در نظر گرفتن انتخابات ممکن نیست. بااین‌حال در خصوص ماهیت انتخابات دیدگاه‌های متعددی مطرح شده است که هر یک از آنها می‌تواند به تأسیس نظام انتخابات متفاوتی بینجامد. ازاین‌رو بررسی ماهیت و پیامدهای انتخابات از منظر آیت‌الله مصباح یزدی، به‌عنوان یکی از اندیشمندان برجستة سیاسی در جهان اسلام پس از انقلاب اسلامی ایران و از نظریه‌پردازان مردم‌سالاری دینی، ضروری می‌نماید. این تحلیل به تبیین دقیق‌تر ماهیت جمهوری اسلامی و مردم‌سالاری دینی کمک می‌کند. آیت‌الله مصباح یزدی با دیدگاه «شهادت» در خصوص ماهیت انتخابات، رویکردی متمایز به این مقوله دارد که در مفاهیمی همچون مشروعیت سیاسی، شرایط نامزدها و رأی‌دهندگان، گسترة انتخابات، چهارچوب نظارت بر انتخابات، و دیگر مؤلفه‌های مرتبط با آن پیامدهای گسترده‌ای به‌دنبال می‌آورد. این دیدگاه تفاوت‌های بنیادینی با سایر نظریه‌های رایج در این زمینه دارد و می‌تواند الهام‌بخش طراحی نظام انتخاباتی جدیدی باشد. این پژوهش با روش تحلیلی ـ توصیفی و با استفاده از منابع کتابخانه‌ای انجام شده است. https://siyasi.nashriyat.ir/sites/siyasi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5002464-1782887131.pdf
