The main problem of this research is to explain the model of Imam Riḍā's (PBUH) political activism under the conditions of the imposed Wilāyat al-ʿAhd (successor to the covenant of the Muslims), and the manner of safeguarding the institution of the Imamate in the face of the structure of power. Using a descriptive-analytical method and relying on historical and ḥadīth sources, and while employing the concepts of soft power and religious political activism, the present study, re-reads the strategies of Imam Riḍā (PBUH). The findings show that his political conduct can be analyzed within the framework of a two-dimensional model consisting of "soft resistance" and "intelligent influence." In this framework, the Imam (PBUH), on the one hand, by refraining from legitimizing the ʿAbbasid caliphate and emphasizing the discourse of the Imamate, preserved the Shiʿi identity and authority; and on the other hand, by purposefully utilizing the capacities arising from the imposed Wilāyat al-ʿAhd, provided the ground for spreading intellectual influence and strengthening the social position of Shiʿism. This model is considered a prominent example of the strategic activism of religion in confronting the structure of political power. سیرۀ سیاسی امام رضا(ع) در مواجهه با خلافت مأمون عباسی، از مهم‌ترین و راهبردی‌ترین مقاطع تاریخ امامت به‌شمار می‌آید. مسئلۀ اصلی پژوهش، تبیین الگوی کنشگری سیاسی امام رضا(ع) در شرایط تحمیل ولایتعهدی، و نحوه صیانت از نهاد امامت در مواجهه با ساختار قدرت است. پژوهش حاضر با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با اتکا به منابع تاریخی و حدیثی، ضمن بهره‌گیری از مفاهیم قدرت نرم و کنشگری سیاسی دینی، راهبردهای امام رضا(ع) را بازخوانی می‌کند. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد که رفتار سیاسی آن حضرت را می‌توان در قالب الگویی دووجهی متشکل از «مقاومت نرم» و «نفوذ هوشمندانه» تحلیل کرد. در این چارچوب، امام(ع) از یک‌سو با پرهیز از مشروعیت‌بخشی به خلافت عباسی و تأکید بر گفتمان امامت، به حفظ هویت و مرجعیت شیعی پرداخت و از سوی ‌دیگر، با بهره‌گیری هدفمند از ظرفیت‌های ناشی از ولایتعهدی تحمیلی، زمینۀ گسترش نفوذ فکری و تقویت موقعیت اجتماعی تشیع را فراهم ساخت. این الگو نمونه‌ای برجسته از کنشگری راهبردی دین در مواجهه با ساختار قدرت سیاسی محسوب می‌شود. https://siyasi.nashriyat.ir/sites/siyasi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5003507-1790747342.pdf
