Abstract:
Governance is a multidimensional, interdisciplinary and conceptually complex category. By posing the question of what is the theory of religious governance and what are the requirements for its realization in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the present study considers the hypothesis that the theory of religious governance is the management of society based on material and spiritual interests and based on the authority of religion. Governance has four dimensions: agent, people, idea of governance and structure, and each of these dimensions has organizational levels and three basic epistemological characteristics: expertise (science), tendency or justice, and ability or efficiency. Using a descriptive-analytical method to explain the problem, the study analyzes religious governance, its component dimensions and indicators, and scientific requirements. By analyzing Islamic sources, it can be concluded that the provision of a governance matrix is achieved through the interaction of four dimensions and three components. Each of the aforementioned aspects requires supporting knowledge such as political science, management, sociology and philosophy.
