Abstract:
Man is a social being. The value of social life depends on man's achievement of true perfection and happiness, which is also possible in an ideal society that can be realized. Describing an ideal society is necessary to identify the strengths and weaknesses of society, criticize and evaluate the performance of rulers, and improve and reform society.
In this article, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi's civilizational utopia has been analyzed in three steps: defining goals and delineating human relations and indicators of utopia. The most important indicators in his opinion are: the utopia's foundation on divine succession and trust, simultaneous attention to natural and innate needs, the existence of a religiously right-oriented state, religious democracy centered on religious truths, material and spiritual advancement as a special task of the state, the convergence of society with ultimate goals, the establishment of comprehensive security in society, rule-based freedom within the framework of morality and Sharia, the regulation of friendships and enmities based on divine pleasure, comprehensive and balanced growth, the foundation of spiritual interests for social cohesion, resistance to threats, social reform based on valid and comprehensive religious knowledge, belief in the resurrection and the pursuit of martyrdom, respect and preservation of divine rituals, social responsibility, the elimination of deprivation and the fight against waste, and spiritual and social freedom.
