Abstract:
The intellectual project of extending the political philosophy at the level of the state, Islamic government and prophetic utopia is the most important achievement of Hakim Abu Nasr al-Farabi. For this reason, he made many arrangements to put Greek political philosophy on the level of monotheistic thinking and make it susceptible to rationalization in the Islamic ecosystem. The birth of Greek political philosophy in the polytheistic atmosphere of that period was in the meta-image of "naturalism", which was recognized by Plato with the idea of "idealism", Aristotle with the idea of "incarnation" and others with the belief in soul for nature. Philosophy was the greatest and rather the exclusive knowledge of mankind of that period to discover the truths of nature and to draw ideal patterns of life and citizenship. Farabi is the first philosopher who paid attention to the correct reading and reconstruction of macro frameworks, epistemological foundations, goals and issues of this knowledge and was able to reproduce it according to the understanding and conditions of Muslims. This epistemological process provided the way for the production and multiplication of intellectual issues in the Islamic biosphere, and in this way, he was able to design the focal point of the utopia in his political philosophy and reach the mission field of the "First Ruler" through realism. Explaining the nature, origin and functions of the prophetic government, he revealed his prominent role as the "founder of the political philosophy of Islam". Using a rational and argumentative method, this research analyzed Farabi's philosophical works and presented its innovative achievement in identifying Farabi's intellectual project along the lines of political philosophy
