Abstract:
As a philosopher and one of the most prominent commentators of the Holy Quran, Allameh Seyyed Muhammad Hussein Tabatabai is considered a contemporary scientific figure in the Islamic world. Therefore, after examining the political thoughts of this political philosopher, this study seeks to discuss the components of good governance in his works and to compare it with the theory of good governance. The research findings, which are based on collecting data through the library method and using the theoretical framework of "Skinner's intentional hermeneutics", indicate that in the view of Allameh Tabatabai, the issue of governance depends on religion, and from this perspective, the relationship between religion and politics can be considered as the relationship of generality and peculiarity in some respect. Accordingly, politics is divided into religious and non-religious types. "The theory of socialization of Islam" is a part of his explanation of the social issues of Islam, in which the components of good governance are explained through a civilizational approach. With regard to governance, he emphasizes the three general components of social justice and equality, the strong structure of the legal system based on monotheistic ethics and the right to participate as well as public responsibility and continuous monitoring.
